Laces and Lace Holes, In-Process Examples for Masking Tape Shoes


Lace Hole Grommet:
A raised edge around the lace hole.

Use leather hole punch and hammer to make lace holes.
The hole punch and hammer available in the Wood Shop. 
See Russell Maycumber, Wood Shop manager. 

**Important**: 
You have to punch the lace holes before you attach the panel shape to the shoe. 




























No Lace Hole Grommet:
This means the lace hole is not surrounded by a metal circle. 

Use a nail and hammer to make lace holes.
Nails and hammer available in the Wood Shop.

**Important**: 
You have to hammer the lace holes before you attach the panel shape to the shoe. 
****Also, make sure lace hole large enough to thread masking tape shoelace.
